Greenseal Rubber is the brandname and now trademark of Flexible Lining Products Ltd, created in early 2003 our Greenseal EPDM material is now widely accepted as both a superior and cheaper alternative to Trelleborg’s Swedish Butyl Rubber. Among the most sought after products we find Greenseal rubber liners, as they provide better results at significantly lower costs than other similar products which use Butyl, a material which incorporates natural rubber in its composition thus increasing the cost. The process of installing Greenseal pond liners and Greenseal Lake Liners are pretty simple and does not require any type of training. The first step is to create a hole in conformity to the owner’s preferences and specifications. Measuring is best done by using a flexible tape measure and follow the contours of the pond through the center – ensure you measure the longest length and widest width plus an overlap allowance around the edges for the Greenseal liners. Anyone interested in building a nice and durable pond by using Greenseal pond liners should know that Greenseal rubber products can be purchased either pre cut to the client’s specifications or as entire rolls, which are perfect for people that not yet sure as to the dimensions of their future ponds. As Greenseal pond liners are manufactured by using the highest quality Greenseal EPDM and does not contain any type of harmful substances or chemicals, hence owners won’t have to worry about the harmful effects that installing our Greenseal pond liners and lake liners. Because Greenseal pond liners are 100% synthetic or EPDM rubber, the costs are considerably less to other materials as customers no longer have to pay unnecessary premium for small amounts of natural rubber that is found in the composition of these other products. Approximately 28% in the case of Butyl Rubber. As opposed to the old alternative for people wanting to build their own ponds, which involved concrete for the lining of a pond, our Greenseal pond liners are immensely superior from all points of view. First of all, there is durability. All our Greenseal Rubber pond liners and lake liners carry our standard Lifetime Guarantee. Repairs are significantly easier to carry out by anyone, and do not require any level of previous experience. As our Greenseal pond liners are made out of high quality EPDM rubber by Trelleborg, Sweden the repairing procedures are pretty much similar to those of cold repairs for inner tubes. Basically, all you need to do is identify the small tear and thoroughly clean the area around it by using a small quantity of solvent with an abrasive pad. After the area has dried it’s time to apply the FLP Repair Patch especially created for repair purposes. Make sure that the patch has fully adhered perfectly to the surface of the Greenseal Rubber product, you can even use a roller or anything else suitable. The pond or lake liner is ready to fill within 30 minutes of carrying out the repair.

Similar to the Superior Caravan accommodation, the Super Deluxe Lodges feature everything you need for some away from home. If you’re planning a break with more than 6 people, then the Green Farm Cottage might be just what you were looking for. Sleeping up to nine people, the Green Farm Cottage at Fallbarrow Holiday Park, has a large open plan lounge and dining area that includes a plasma screen TV, CD player featuring iPod docking station. The kitchen features modern kitchen appliances and a dishwasher. With four bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, this really is the most luxury holiday accommodation the Lake District has to offer.

The caravans available at all three Lake District Holiday Parks are second to none and include everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. Fallbarrow and Limefitt both offer the Superior Caravan model while White Cross Bay offers both Superior Caravans and Standard Caravans, although there’s nothing standard about them. Both the Standard and the Superior caravans available at the Lake District Caravan Parks feature gas and electric, bed linen and duvets, a colour TV, a bathroom plus shower and a fully equipped kitchen. The Superior Caravans however, feature a few more items including towels, central heating, double glazing, a DVD player and a radio / CD player.

The Lake District offers a wide variety of activities and attractions to keep everyone happy and entertained from boat trips on Lake Windermere to horse riding, canoeing, sailing and windsurfing, fishing, golf and so much more. Each Lake District Holiday Park operated by South Lakeland Parks has an array of park facilities that include bars restaurants and shops with each park having exclusive facilities. White Cross Bay has an indoor heated swimming pool and gym, Fallbarrow has its own woodland walks and Limefitt offers fell walks and fishing.

The great lakes provide one of the major and breathtaking spectacles of the largest fresh water expanse in the planet. The unique and diverse characteristic landscape makes this phenomenon one of the famous tourist attractions. The great lake of North America are large enough to cover the whole of Europe. The lakes are one of the perfect places to start a tour of the region. Touring the region can be a great experience considering the diversity that it offers mixed with its ease in accessibility.

The Lakes proudly portray the magnificence of the US as a major tourist hub. Lake Ontario, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie and Lake Superior collectively form the great lakes of North America. The great lakes of North America can be accessed through the so called international gateway. The lakes can be accessed from cities such as Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. This has earned the region a great reputation of providing unrivalled tourism experience. The lakes are characteristic as being one of the places that one can have great fun and enjoy the diverse festivals that make the experience unique.

Some of the attractions that these spectacular wonders charms its visitors with may include a bouquet of outdoor sports. The lakes spoil its visitors with the range of activities that it offers. For those who delight in adrenaline rush canoeing and dog sledding will do the trick. Those who may find favor in less vicious spots the place offers golfing and fishing activities. The place has everything for everyone and for those who find pleasure in shopping or attending glamorous festivals this is definitely the place to be.

There are countless numbers of bodies of water in the world. They range from babbling brooks, which are streams of fresh water that flow above ground, to lakes to extremely large and vast oceans, such as the Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and the largest body of water in the world, the Pacific Ocean. Each body of water is significant in its own way. These bodies of water are used as sources of drinking water or leisurely activities, such as swimming, boating, fishing, and more. This discusses the top 5 largest natural bodies of water found in North America.

Lake Superior, located on the border of Canada and North America, is the largest of the five Great Lakes of North America. This lake is the largest freshwater lake not only in the United States but also in the world by surface area. Bordered by Wisconsin and Michigan in the south and Ontario, Canada and Minnesota in the north, this lake boasts a surface area of 31,820 square miles. Its average depth is 482 feet; its deepest is 1,332 feet. Lake Superior houses several islands, the biggest being Isle Royale, which contains smaller islands within smaller lakes. Due to its vast size, it mimics the behavior and climate of the sea, regulating temperatures during the summer and winter.

The second largest body of water is Lake Huron, one of the five Great Lakes of North America. Its surface area measures at 23,010 square miles, which makes it the third largest fresh water lake on earth. The average depth is 195 feet; its deepest is 750 feet. Originally named La Mer Douce, meaning the fresh-water sea, Lake Huron is named after the Huron people who lived in the area when the French explorers discovered the land.

The third largest body of water is Lake Michigan, which is also one of the five Great Lakes of North America. It is the only one of the five lakes that is entirely within the United States border, surrounded by the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. With a surface area of 22,400 square miles, its average depth is 279 feet and its deepest is 923 feet. The state of Michigan and the lake itself is believed to have come from mishigami, meaning great water in Ojibwa Indian.

The fourth largest body of water is Great Bear Lake, Canada’s largest lake. With an average depth of 235 feet and a maximum depth of 1,463 feet, its surface area measures at 12,028 square miles. From November to July, Great Bear Lake is completely covered in ice.

Finally, the fifth largest body of water is Great Slave Lake, also located in Canada. It covers 11,000 square miles with the maximum depth at 615 feet and an average depth of 105 feet. Like Great Bear Lake, it is frozen for about eight months out of the year. Prior to the construction of highways around the lakes in 1967, goods were transported by semi-trailer trucks that traveled on the thick ice.

The enormous size of the Great Lakes water system is very awe-inspiring. The Great Lakes consist of five lakes that include: Lake Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario. Their channels allow the lakes to be connected to make it the largest fresh water system in the world.

The Great Lakes hold approximately 23,000 km3 (5,500 cu. mi.) of water. They cover more than 94, 000 square miles (244,000 sq. km.) and hold approximately one-fifth of the earth’s fresh water. This is approximately 18 percent of the world’s water supply.

The channels that connect the Great Lakes include:

The St. Mary’s River: A 60-mile waterway that flows from Lake Superior down to Lake Huron.

The St. Clair and Detroit River An 89 mile long channel connecting Lake Huron with Lake Erie.

Niagara River: A 35-mile long river that connects Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.

The water from the Great Lakes flows from Lake Ontario to the St. Lawrence River and then flows about 1000 miles to the Atlantic Ocean.

Facts about The Great Lakes include:

Lake Erie: This Great Lake contains 17 urban areas and agricultural practices are a prominent industry. The area of the lake is about 26,000 km2. (10,000 square miles) It is the shallowest of the five Great Lakes.

Lake Ontario: This Lake is the smallest of the Great Lakes. Major urban areas such as Hamilton and Toronto are located along its shores. The lake’s name originates from Ontario, a Huron word that means “great lake.” Because Lake Ontario is at the bottom-end of the Great Lakes, it is affected by the human activities throughout the Lake Michigan, Superior, Huron, and Erie basins.

Lake Michigan: Lake Michigan is the second largest Great Lake. It contains the Milwaukee and Chicago areas. This area has approximately 8 million people. Lake Michigan is the only Great Lake entirely within the borders of the United States.

Lake Huron: Many Canadians and Americans own cottages along Lake Huron’s shores. It contains the Flint and Saginaw-Bay City areas. The Saginaw River basin is farmed and Saginaw Bay has an industrious fishery.

Lake Superior: This is the largest, deepest, and coldest lake of the Great Lakes. Much of the areas in the basin are forested. Water contains minimal pollutants because there is little agriculture.

Only the polar ice caps contain more fresh water than The Great Lakes. These lakes are an important and delicate ecosystem. Not only do they affect human life because of industrial transportation, fishery industry, and agriculture, they affect wildlife and the climate. The lakes were once exploited for financial gain but now conservationists are acknowledging the crucial role they play in maintaining environmental balance. Measures that properly balance the Great Lakes and their ecosystems are now being implemented to ensure they are not destroyed by pollution and industrialization.

Because The Great Lakes are surrounded by two Countries, collaboration is needed to protect the lakes from human damage. Protection of the lakes requires respecting and treating the Great Lakes as an important and vital positive contributor to the planet so we can promote a healthy and sustainable environment.
